Public safety software for dispatch, situational awareness and review
Trakshym builds public safety software for police, fire and EMS agencies, city operations centers and security operators: incident dispatch workflows, live operational maps, edge processing that correlates sensor and camera alerts, offline-capable field apps and after-action analytics. Our engineers in India deliver remotely for public safety organizations worldwide, integrating with the CAD and radio systems already in place.
What do we build for Public Safety teams?
Public safety teams receive information from many sources at once, and a delayed or miscommunicated response has serious consequences. We bring incident alerts, sensor feeds, unit tracking, dispatch workflows and interagency communication into one real-time picture, so dispatchers assign the right resources, commanders keep situational awareness and leaders get the records and metrics to review every response.
- 01
Dispatch and operations center software
Incident intake, priority queues and unit assignment, with live unit status and a shared map for dispatchers and incident commanders.
- 02
Sensor and camera correlation
Edge processing that combines alerts from cameras, gunshot and environmental sensors and access control into one classified incident instead of many raw alarms.
- 03
Field apps for responders
Mobile apps that show assignments, maps and incident updates, and keep working when the network is weak.
- 04
After-action analytics
Timestamped incident timelines, time-to-dispatch and time-to-arrive metrics and hotspot maps for review and planning.
- FBI CJIS Security Policy, for systems that access US criminal justice information
Which Public Safety problems do we solve?
Each row pairs a problem we see in public safety operations with the software we build to fix it.
| Challenge | What we see | How we solve it |
|---|---|---|
| Too many inputs at once | Calls, sensor alerts, camera feeds and field reports arrive together, in different systems. | One operational picture: Incidents, unit locations, sensor feeds and field updates on one live map for dispatchers and commanders. |
| Slow alert-to-assignment | Dispatchers lack a single view of incident priority and which units are free and capable. | Priority-driven dispatch: Incidents classified and queued by priority, with unit status and capability shown at assignment. |
| Agencies on separate systems | Law enforcement, fire and EMS often run separate CAD and radio systems with no shared incident record. | Interagency integration: CAD-to-CAD bridges, shared incident records and mutual-aid resource views across agencies. |
| Reconstructing what happened | After-action reviews depend on piecing together logs, recordings and recollections. | Timestamped incident records: Every alert, decision and status change logged, producing incident timelines and response metrics. |

What do Public Safety teams ask before starting?
Do you replace our computer-aided dispatch system?
Usually not. Most agencies keep their CAD as the system of record. We build around it: operations maps, sensor correlation, field apps, interagency views and analytics that read from and write to the CAD through its interfaces.
Why process sensor alerts at the edge?
Alerts such as a perimeter breach or an environmental hazard lose value with every second of delay. Processing them on a gateway near the sensors cuts round trips, keeps working during backhaul outages and sends one correlated incident upstream instead of a flood of raw alarms.
Can several agencies share one operational picture?
Yes. Shared incident records, unit locations and resource status can be exposed across agencies, with each agency controlling what it shares. Access is role-based and every view of sensitive records is logged.
How are incident records protected and kept for review?
Every alert, assignment and status change is stored with a timestamp and the user who made it, in append-only logs that support after-action review. Retention, hosting location and access policy follow the agency's own rules, which we agree before build.
Do you work with private security operators and campuses?
Yes. The same patterns apply to campuses, transport hubs, venues and critical sites: sensor and camera correlation, guard dispatch, incident logging and analytics. The integration list and access rules are set per site.
