Asset tracking and lifecycle management software
Trakshym builds asset tracking and lifecycle software for organizations that move equipment between sites, teams or wards: BLE, GPS and RFID location tracking, condition sensors, digital checkout and custody, maintenance schedules and utilization reports. Our team works remotely from India for clients worldwide, covering tags and gateways through to web and mobile apps.
What is asset lifecycle management software?
It keeps one record per asset from purchase to retirement: where it is, who has it, what condition it is in, when it was last serviced and how often it is used. Tracking hardware fills in location and condition automatically; workflows cover checkout, inspection and disposal.
The tracking technology depends on the site. GPS works outdoors, BLE beacons and gateways suit buildings and yards, passive RFID suits doorways and stock counts, and UWB gives sub-meter positions where they matter. Many deployments mix two or more.
What does Trakshym build for asset tracking?
The tracking layer and the workflows on top of it, so the asset register updates itself instead of waiting for the next audit.
- 01
Location tracking
BLE, GPS, RFID and UWB data turned into zone-level location and movement history for every tagged asset, indoors and out.
- 02
Condition monitoring
Temperature, humidity, shock and tilt sensors on sensitive equipment, with thresholds and alerts per asset class.
- 03
Checkout and custody
Digital check-in and checkout to named people or teams, return dates, overdue reminders and QR or NFC scanning in a mobile app.
- 04
Maintenance and inspections
Service intervals, inspection checklists, certification expiry dates and work orders tied to each asset's history.
- 05
Loss prevention alerts
Alerts when assets leave a zone, move outside working hours or when a tag reports tampering or a low battery.
- 06
Utilization and capital planning
Use rate and idle time by asset class, department and site, synced with your ERP or fixed-asset register.
How do we deliver an asset tracking system?
Tracking technology is chosen per site from a survey, proven in one location, then rolled out with the workflows people use daily.
Site and asset survey
Asset classes, sites, required accuracy, battery-life targets and the questions the system must answer.
Tracking pilot
Tags and gateways in one site, with a live map and history view checked against where assets really are.
Workflows and integrations
Checkout, inspections, maintenance and alerts, plus sync with ERP, CMMS and single sign-on.
Rollout and support
Site-by-site rollout with tagging guides for staff, monitoring of tag batteries and gateways, then support or handover.

What does asset tracking software cost, and how long does it take?
Hardware choices and the number of sites matter as much as the software. We size it on a discovery call and agree a phased plan, usually one site first; no number before the site survey.
Accuracy and technology
Room-level BLE, checkpoint RFID and sub-meter UWB differ in hardware, installation and software work.
Sites and asset count
Gateway infrastructure scales with floor area and sites; tag cost scales with the number of assets you track automatically.
Workflows
Checkout, inspections, maintenance and audits are separate modules, each with its own screens and rules.
Integrations
ERP, CMMS, fixed-asset registers and single sign-on each add a defined integration.
On a 30-minute call an engineer reviews these drivers with you and tells you what a sensible first phase would include.

Which tracking technology should we use: BLE, GPS or RFID?
It depends on where assets live and how precise you need to be. GPS suits vehicles and outdoor plant, BLE suits buildings and yards at zone level, passive RFID suits doorways and stock counts at low tag cost, and UWB suits sub-meter positioning. We often combine two.
How long do tracking tags last on one battery?
It depends mainly on how often the tag reports. A beacon broadcasting every few seconds and a GPS tracker reporting every minute have very different lifetimes. We set reporting rates per asset class to match your maintenance cycle and track battery levels in the platform.
Can we start with QR codes before buying tags?
Yes. QR or NFC labels scanned in a mobile app give you checkout, custody and inspection records with no gateway infrastructure. Automatic location tracking can be added later for the assets where it pays off.
Can it sync with our ERP or fixed-asset register?
Yes. We sync asset records, cost centers and depreciation data with ERP or finance systems through their APIs or scheduled imports, so the register and the tracking system agree.
Does it work for medical equipment in hospitals?
Yes, locating infusion pumps and other mobile equipment is a common use. Hospitals add requirements for wireless coexistence with clinical devices, tag cleaning and infection control, and access to patient-linked data, which we plan with the biomedical engineering team.
Have you built tracking software before?
The building blocks, yes: 3Di Nexus tracks assigned locations, duties and incidents for field personnel on a map, and the Palvin Organics delivery app manages routes and subscriptions. Both are live. We don't yet have a published equipment-tracking case study.
